vivo Y53 with 5-inch display, Snapdragon 425 launched in India for Rs. 9,990

Chinese smartphone maker has launched a new budget smartphone in India dubbed Y53. The phone runs Android Marshmallow with vivo's Funtouch 3.0 OS on top and the specs in offer is not that great considering the price.

The vivo Y53 features 5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display and is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

It is equipped with 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with Smart Screen Flash which automatically switches on the screen, in low-light conditions so your face looks brighter in selfies.

In terms of connectivity there's dual-SIM slots, VoLTE, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 2500mAh battery keeps the lights on. The phone also comes with some unique features like built-in eye protection mode and smart split mode.

The vivo Y53 is priced at Rs. 9,990 and is available for purchase through both online and offline channels. Considering the price and specs, vivo Y53 will receive stiff competition from Xiaomi's Redmi 3S, and upcoming Redmi phone, Coolpad's Note 5 Lite, and Motorola's Moto E Power and Moto G4 Play.
