Xiaomi Redmi 4A goes on sale in India at Rs. 5,999

The Redmi 4A, Xiaomi's  new budget smartphone has been launched in India for Rs. 5,999. It is now available for purchase exclusively on Amazon India, and Mi.com.

The Redmi 4A is Xiaomi's second biggest smartphone launch in the country. Back in January the Chinese technology company launched the Redmi Note 4, which Xiaomi claims to have sold over one million units since launch, making it the fastest selling smartphone, online, till date.

The Redmi 4A specs is no where near to the Redmi Note 4's offering, but given the ultra-affordable price tag, there is nothing much to complain.

Speaking of Redmi 4A's specifications the phone has a 5-inch HD display and is equipped with Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It comes with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and packs a 3120mAh battery.

Running Android Marshmallow based MIUI 8, the Redmi 4A supports microSD card, dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, VoLTE WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS for connectivity.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A will be available in Dark Grey and Gold colors, when it will go on sale via Amazon India and Mi.com. There's also a Rose Gold color option, which will be available on April 6.
