Acer Predator Triton 700 is VR-ready ultrathin gaming notebook


Acer at its next@acer press event, New York held on Thursday, unleashed its next Predator series powerful gaming notebook called the Predator Triton 700. The company says that its latest Predator gaming notebook houses best-in-class technologies for a thin yet powerful, no-compromise gaming notebook.

The Predator Triton features 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and is powered by 7th generation Intel Core processor with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series graphics card, up to 32GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM and two NVMe PCIe1 SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. It has Thunderbolt 3 connectivity that supports dual-4K video out put, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort connector, Gigabit Ethernet, and Killer DoubleShot Pro (provides speed up to 40Gbps).

A large Corning Gorilla Glass plate is placed above the RGB-backlit mechanical keyboard that serves as a window into the notebook’s cooling system, showcasing the AeroBlade 3D Fan and five heat pipes. The cooling system helps keep the device running nice and cool, even when the action heats up. The Gorilla glass panel also doubles as trackpad.

All this is housed in a black aluminum chassis offering a minimalistic design with straight contours and angular front corners, and thanks to the AeroBlade 3D Fan, without sacrificing thermals and computing power inside, the notebook gets an ultra-thin form factor measuring a svelte 0.74 inches (18.9mm) and weighing 2.6kg (5.7 pounds).

Acer says "Our industry-leading AeroBlade 3D Fan with metal blades provides ultimate thermal performance, which allows us to pack massive computing power inside this ultra-thin form factor without compromise."

The gaming notebook is VR-radey and also includes Acer TrueHarmony to deliver immersive audio experience, NVIDIA G-SYNC monitor support and comes pre-loaded with PredatoreSense software, that lets games to control and customize the notebooks vitals from one central interface incluing lighting, hotkeys, fan control and general system monitoring.

The Predator Triton 700 gaming notebook will be available in North America in August starting at $2,999; and in EMEA in August starting at €3,399. Exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region.
