Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 coming in May for $349

Earlier this month Chuwi introduced Lapbook 12.3, an affordable Windows 10 laptop that has a display similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 tablet. At that time the budget Chinese device maker did not reveal the pricing and availability details, but now both the information are out.

The Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 will be available in May for $349, which is half the price of Surface Pro 4, but don't expect the performance to be same.

To recap the specs, the Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 features 12.3-inch 2736 x 1824 pixel display and is powered by an Intel Celeron N3450 Apollo Lake processor, paired with 6GB RAM and Intel HD graphics. It comes with 64GB eMMC flash storage, but there's also an M.2 Slot, to add a SSD if you want faster storage.

The laptop can run Windows 10/Ubuntu Linux and includes a 2MP front facing camera USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, mini HDMI port, microSD card slot, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11ac. It measures 300 x 223 x 16.7mm and weighs 1.42kg.
