HP 2017 Pavilion notebook and Pavilion x360 convertible announced

HP is upgrading its budget-friendly Pavillion x360 convertibles and Pavilion notebooks, by introducing new models. The new line of Pavilion x360 covertible feature 11.6-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch screen models, while the Pavillion notebook line up include 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch laptops. Display options include HD or Full HD.

The 2017 lineup features the same design as earlier Pavillion notebook, but are thinner and lighter, and gets a chrome plated hinge covers for a premium look. The Pavilion laptop also gets a new "lift hinge design" and a sloping keyboard. They will be available in Opulent Blue, Silk Gold, Orchid Pink, Mineral Silver and Empress Red colors.

HP will offer the Pavillion x360 convertible in various CPU options including Intel Pentium, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7. It will come with up to 1TB HDD or 512GB SSD, or dual storage storage options with 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD. Some of the models will get discrete GPUs, while the others will be available with either NVIDIA GeFore 940MX and AMD Radeon graphics card. 

The new Pavillion x360 will also have stylus support (stylus bundled in the box) and HP is also offering optional infrared camera for Windows Hello functionality. The 11.6-inch model has USB 3.1 port while the bigger 14-inch and 15.6-inch has a USB Type-C port and 2 x USB 2.1 port.

The refreshed HP Pavilion notebook  will be available with  either Intel or AMD chip including Intel Celeron, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, AMD E2 or AMD A10 chip. It comes with up to 16GB RAM, up to 512GB SSD, up to 1TB HDD and optional infrared camera for Windows Hello login. They also have USB Type-C 3.1, USB Type-A 3.1, HDMI and an SD card slot for connectivity. 

HP's new Pavillion line up starts at $349 (Rs. 22,500) for the base 11.6-inch Pavillion x360 model and will be available in May and June.
