LG outs U+ Pad 8 tablet with 4000mAh battery, 4G LTE in South Korea


LG U+, the LG-owned South Korean cellular carrier has introduced a new mid-range tablet called LG U+ Pad 8. The tablet supports 4G LTE, GPS (up to 150Mbps) and FM Radio connectivity.

The LG U+ Pad 8 features 8-inch Full HD IPS display with and aspect ratio of 16:10 and is equipped with MediaTek's MT8783 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be further increased via microSD card.

There's 5MP rear camera and 2MP front facing camera, along with the 4000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to six hours of mixed usage. It runs Android Marshmallow and also supports WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

The LG U+ Pad 8 is priced at KRW 242,000 ($213 | Rs. 14,000) and will be available in South Korea across 2,000 retail  stores in White color.
