Honor 8 Lite with 4GB RAM, Android Nougat launched in India for Rs. 17,999


Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched the mid-range Honor 8 Lite in India for Rs. 17,999. It will be available through all Honor's partner stores offline across the country starting May 12 in Premium Black color. Later, a Blue color variant will also be available.

The Honor 8 Lite is a toned down version of the dual-camera toting Honor 8, and comes with only a single rear camera. It sports 7.6mm slim body, with glass back and brushed metal finish on sides. It runs Android Nougat based EMUI 5.0 and has a fingerprint scanner at the back.

In terms of specifications, the Honor 8 Lite features 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by octa-core Kirin 655 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.

It gets 12MP rear camera with LED flash, BSI CMOS sensor, and 8MP 77-degree wide angle selfie camera. In terms of connectivity, it supports dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery.

Huawei is also offering 15-month service warranty along with Honor’s door pick-up and drop after sale facilities for the Honor 8 Lite.

Considering the price and specs, the Honor 8 Lite will be competing with the likes of Moto G5 Plus and nubia M2 Lite.
