New update for Gionee A1 brings bokeh effect, 11 regional languages


Gionee is rolling out a new software update to the Gionne A1, that brings Bokeh selfies and adds support for 10 additional system regional languages.

The new Bokeh selfies function will let you add out-of-focus blur in a photography, while the 10 new system regional launages include Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Additionally, Gionee A1 users will get three year subscription of MacAfee anti-virus to provide security.

To recap the specs, the Gionee A1 is a selfie-centric smartphone boasting 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera assisted by selfie flash, so that selfies taken in low-light condition will be clear. The camera at the rear is 13MP Sony IMX258 sensor, and gets PDAF function and LED flash.

Other specs include 5.5-inch Full HD display, octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chip, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 4010mAh battery and fingerprint scanner. It runs Android Nougat and supports dual-SIMs and 4G VoLTE. 

The all metal Gionee A1 carries a price tag of Rs. 19,999 and is available in offline mobile retail stores in Black, Grey and Gold colors.
