HMD Global announces refreshed Nokia 105 and Nokia 130


Nokia is expanding its feature phone portfolio, with the launch of refreshed versions of Nokia 105 and Nokia 130 handsets. These phones were first launched by Microsoft back in 2015 and 2014 respectively, and will be now be under HMD Global's Nokia brand.

The Nokia 105 and Nokia 130 have refreshed, ergonomic contoured designs, equipped with Island keypad with separated keys for easier texting and dialing, and runs on Series 30+ software platform.

Both feature 1.8-inch QQVGA color display, LED torch lights, a standard headphone jack, inbuilt FM Radio, Bluetooth 3.0 and charges using a standard micro USB cable (USB 2.0). They also have single/dual SIMs slot, and comes with pre-loaded with classic Snake Xenzia, Doodle Jump and Crossy Road games.

The Nokia 105's design looks some what similar to the popular Nokia 3310 2017 edition. It gets 4MB RAM and ROM and packs 800mAh battery, which promises up to 15 hours of talk time and up to a month of standby time. Color options are Blue, White, Black with a matte finish.

The new Nokia 130 gets a built-in rear camera and microSD card slot for expanding storage, which is missing in Nokia 105. It comes with 4MB RAM, 8MB ROM and 1020mAh battery, that promises up to 44 hours of FM radio music playback and up to a month of standby time. Color options include Red, Grey and Black hues.

The new Nokia 105 is priced at 14.50 for the single SIM version, and $15 for the dual-SIM versions. In India, it will be avalable starting July 19 at Rs. 999 for the single-SIM version, and Rs. 1,149 for the dual-SIM version. The Nokia 130 will have a global average price of $21.50 (Rs. 1,380). The exact pricing and availability details for the India market is yet to be announced.
