Android 7.1.1 now live for Moto Z Play in India


The U.S units of Moto Z Play received Android 7.1.1 back in June this year, and at the same time, soak test started in India. Now Indian units of Moto Z Play are getting updated to Android 7.1.1. 

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Moto Z Play is rolling out over-the-air with build number NPNS26.118.22, and is 1101.4MB in size. The update has the same change log as the U.S version, but includes Android Security patches until July 1 2017. 


This update introduces changes including the following:
  • Android 7.1.1 Nougat: many enhancements including new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features.
  • Video calling: Duo is a one-to-one video calling app for everyone – designed to be simple, reliable and fun so you never miss a moment.
  • Android security: includes the updates of Android security patches until 1 July 2017.
  • App Shortcuts: brings you app shortcuts directly from your Home screen. Launch actions on your favorite apps by simply pressing and holding the app icon. (It requires app compatibility).
  • Moto Mods support: updates the Moto Mods platform to the version 2.0
