Asus ZenFone Zoom S with dual-cameras, 5000mAh battery lands in India


The ZenFone 3 Zoom with dual-cameras and big battery has finally arrived in India as the ZenFone Zoom S. It comes in multiple variants with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage, but the one launched in India has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It has been priced at Rs. 26,999, and will be available exclusively on Flipakrt in Navy Black and Glacier Silver colors.

The main highlight of ZenFone Zoom S is the dual-cameras and beefy battery capacity. The dual-camera system is a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 25mm wide-angle lens paired with another 12MP camera with 59mm lens for 2.3X optical zoom. It also features dual PDAF, 4-axis OIS and 3-axis EIS for fast image capturing. There's also portrait mode, which allows ‘Bokeh’ effect images, just like the Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

The rear camera also boasts TriTech+ optimization, which select one of three autofocus methods ã…¡Dual Pixel, continuous AF and laser AF ã…¡ to deliver fast image capturing. The phone's camera will also has RAW support. On the front there's 13MP Sony IMX214 camera with screen flash feature for low-light photography.


The battery capacity is 5000mAh and Asus claims the device can deliver up to 42 days of standby time and up to 6.4 hours of continuous UltraHD video recording. Even though it packs a massive battery it is still slim and light-weight measuring 7.9mm thick and weighs at 170g.

Coming to the other specs, the ZenFone Zoom S has 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5, Snapdragon 625 processor, fingerprint scanner, hybrid-dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, and USB Type-C port. It ships with Android Marshmallow, and an upgrade to Nougat is ready.
