[Update: OTA Withdrawn] OxygenOS 4.5.7 For The OnePlus 5 Brings EIS For 4K Video Recording, July Security Patch & More


EDIT 04/08: OnePlus has withdrawn the update owing to game stuttering issues reported by various users. OxygenOS 4.5.8 is now being rolled out.

OnePlus 5 is now receiving a new update in the form of OxygenOS 4.5.7. The update introduces the much awaited Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) while recording 4K videos. The update also comprises of the July 1 security patch along with an update to the latest GMS package. The Google Mobile Services (GMS) package includes the necessary Google applications (such as Chrome, Gmail, YouTube etc) and APIs which enhance the user's mobile existence like experience. The complete changelog for the update is as follows:

New additions:

  • Introducing the all new OnePlus Slate font
  • Added EIS for 4K video recording
Updates:
  • Updated Android security patch level to 1st July 2017
  • Updated to latest GMS package
Optimizations:
  • Wi-Fi connectivity improvements
  • Standby battery enhancements
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed occasional sound leaks in the speakers when using earphones
  • Fixed camera shutter sound bug in silent mode for Indian region
  • Fixed missing sound channels when recording videos



The update weighs 310MB. If you are using a OnePlus 5, an OTA notification of the update should reach your device soon. You can also install the update manually by flashing the suitable file (from below) via ADB.
