Samsung is reportedly gearing up to introduce a new fitness tracking band. Evan Blass writing for VentureBeat reports that the South Korean tech giant plans to introduce Gear Fit 2 Pro fitness band at IFA 2017 in Berlin. Blass also shared press material and key details of the fitness wearable.

The Gear Fit 2 Pro will be Samsung's third fitness tracking wearable and will succeed the Tizen-Powered Gear Fit2, and will bring a number of new features.

First up, the Fit 2 Pro will have 5 ATM water resistance rating in addition to IP68 water-and-dust resistant, which means the fitness band is capable of withstanding water pressure to depths of up to 150 feet, making it perfect for swimming.

Similar to its predecessor, the Gear Fit 2 Pro will boast curved AMOLED display that will show time, date, and data collected by various daily activity like heart rate, steps taken, calories burned and more.

Another addition, is support for offline music playback from Spotify. This means you don't have to rely on a connected device to play music, instead the music playback can be controlled right from the wearable's screen. It will also include GPS for tracking runs without a phone, and the data collected will be synced with Speedo On app.

The fitness band will be compatible with iOS and Android devices, and come bundled with a year's of Under Armour's premium  digital services. Lastly, the wearable will have a watch-style clasp for a more secure fit during vigorous work out conditions.
