Solar Red HTC U11 now up for pre-order in India

HTC India has started taking pre-orders for the Solar Red color variant of the company's flagship U11. To recall, the HTC U11 was introduced in a total of five colors Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White and Solar Red. 

In India, the HTC U11 was initially available in Amazing Silver and Brilliant Black hue, followed by Sapphire Blue, and Solar Red will be the fourth color option. There is still no word when the Ice White color variant will be available in the country.

The Solar Red HTC U11 has bee priced at Rs. 51,990, and will start shipping on August 26, for customers who pre-ordered. The company is also throwing in a free Car Charger 20W with every purchase of Solar Red U11.  

According to HTC "Solar Red embodies the strength and majesty of the sun. The deep reds change in the light and transform to shimmering golds and yellows. A color like this can only be made in the heavens."  

Features and specs of HTC U11
The HTC U11 is the world's first smartphone to boast Edge Sense technology. The tech allows you to trigger certain actions like opening camera, send text by voice, check email and more by squeezing the edges of the phones.

It comes with 5.5-inch QHD Gorilla Glass 5 display, Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage with microSD card expansion and 3000mAh battery.

HTC claims that the U11 has received the highest-ever DxOMark rating for a smartphone camera for both photo and video with a rating of 90. For photography, it gets 12MP UltraPixel 3 camera at the back with f/1.7 aperture, UltraSpeed auto-focus, OIS, dual-LED flash, HDR Boost, Hyperlapse shooting and 4K video recording capabilities. On the front there's 16MP selfie camera with HDR Boost, BSI sensor and Full HD video recording.

It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat of the box and supports dual-SIMs, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C port. Other specs include fingerprint scanner, IP67 water and dust resistance, and BoomSound Hi-Fi edition speakers.
