BSNL's new Rs. 249 plan offers unlimited on-net calls and 1GB data per day for 28 days

Earlier this month BSNL launched Rs. 429 pack for prepaid customers that offered unlimited STD and local calls to all networks and 90GB data (1GB data per-day) for 90 days. Now the state-owned telecom operator has come out with yet another prepaid plan that offers voice and data benefits.

The new Rs. 249 plan offers unlimited local and STD BSNL to BSNL calls for 28 days. During the same period, customers will also get 1GB of data every day, effectively making it 28GB data.

Unfortunately users will only be able to browse the internet at 2G or 3G speeds, since BSNL hasn't deployed its 4G network yet. BSNL says the Rs. 249 pack is a limited period offer and will be available only till October 25, 2017.

In related news, BSNL is looking to partner with domestic mobile brands such as Micromax and Lava to launch co-branded affordable feature phone priced around Rs. 2,000. According to reports the BSNL backed feature phone will come bundled with attractive tariff plans. The launch is expected to happen in October before Diwali.
