Samsung Galaxy C8 announced, rebranded Galaxy J7+ for China


Samsung has officially introduced Galaxy C8, its latest mid-range smartphone, and the first in the Galaxy C series to flaunt dual-camera. It is basically Chinese version of the recently announced Galaxy J7+, and has the same metal unibody design and specs sheet.

Just like the Galaxy J7+, the Galaxy C8's dual-cameras comprises of 13MP f/1.7 RGB sensor and a secondary 5MP f/1.9 monochrome sensor, and boasts features like Live Focus and Bokeh shots of the Galaxy Note8. On the front there's 16MP f/1.9 camera with LED flash for improved low-light selfies.

As for the other specs, the Galaxy C8 features 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED Always On display, octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor and 3000mAh battery. It comes in two variants:  3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card.

It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has support for dual-SIMs and 4G VoLTE. It has two types of security features: fingerprint scanner and facial recognition to unlock the device.

The Galaxy C8 is listed on Samsung China's website without pricing and availability details. When released it will come in Black, Gold and Pink colors.
