New Galaxy J2 (2017) variant with 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage spotted on GFXBench


Samsung recently launched Galaxy J2 (2017) in India for Rs. 7,390 with entry-level specs like 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. That said, it appears, that the South Korean tech giant is working on an upgraded model.

A new Samsung phone carrying model number SM-J250G which is new variant of Galaxy J2 (2017) was spotted on GFXBench and Geekbench with more RAM, storage, Snapdragon processor and improved cameras.

The listing combined reveals that, the Galaxy J2 (2017) will feature 5.2-inch qHD display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It will be equipped with 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, instead of Exynos, found on the original Galaxy J2 (2017), and come with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The listing further reveals that the new Galaxy J2 (2017) will have 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. To remind you, the original Galaxy J2 (2017) has 5MP/2MP rear and front cameras. The phone was found running Android 7.1.1.

Unfortunately, it is not known when this device will be officially announced.
