General Mobile GM5 Is Getting The November Security Patch

Android One devices are meant to get monthly security patches just like Nexus and Pixel devices. Google released the November security patch yesterday for the Nexus and Pixel devices. In case of Android One devices, it is the device manufacturer which usually handles the updates. Since the GM5 is an Android One device manufactured by General Mobile, it is General Mobile who looks after the update for GM5. The Turkish mobile company has now started rolling out the November security patch for the GM5.

The update size is a mere 40MB and the version number is NLC17K. Like other OTA updates, this too is being rolled out in phases which effectively means that the update might take time to reach your device.

The General Mobile GM5 was launched last year. It was the first Android One device to be powered by Nougat 7.0 out of the box. The GM5 has 5" HD IPS display, 2GB RAM with Snapdragon 410, 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie shooter. The General Mobile GM5 currently runs on Nougat 7.1.1 and will be upgraded to Oreo in the near future.
