LG will introduce new Gram laptops at CES 2018

LG has announced that it will introduce the next-gen Gram line of laptops at CES 2018, which will be equipped with 8th-gen Intel Core chips. The Gram line up was first introduced back in 2014, and are known for their light-weight design and thin form factor.

The LG Gram 2018 edition includes 13-inch and 14-inch display models that offer Full HD resolution and IPS touchscreen panel with minimal bezels. They are equipped with 8th generation Core i7 and i5 processor and have SSD storage, which offer faster boot times. There's also a secondary SSD storage as well. It will pack 72Wh battery, which promises up to 19 hours of usage time.

LG says that the new gram models are durable enough to use in the most extreme environment. They have carbon magnesium full metal body and have passed seven U.S military MIL-STD 810G durability tests for resistance to impact, pressure and temperature.

Each model will come with backlit keyboard, precision touch pad, fingerprint reader and Thunderbolt 3 ports. They also support DTS Headphone X which provides a multi-channel sound of up to 11.1 channels for rich 1.5W hi-fi surround sound.

The 2018 LG Gram laptop series will be available in the U.S from next month, and will gradually roll out to other markets. Pricing is yet to be announced.
