Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition launched in China for CNY 2,299 ($370)


Xiaomi unveiled a special edition of Mi Note with a bamboo material rear panel called Xiaomi Mi Note Natural Bamboo Edition. The device is priced at CNY 2,299 (Rs. 23,000) and will be available in China from March 24. The registration have already begun.

The bamboo cover on the back increases the thickness of the smartphone by 0.9mm, and weighs 5 grams less than the standard version of Mi Note.

Apart from a special rear panel, the specs of the Mi Note Bamboo edition are the same as standard variant of Mi Note. To recap, the Mi Note was launched in January in China. It was available in two models (16GB (CNY 2,299 | Rs. 23,000) and 64GB (CNY 2,799 | Rs. 27,900). On its debut flash sale the device went out of stock in three minutes.

The Mi Note features a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, paired with 3GB RAM. The handset comes in two storage variants 16GB/64GB. The handset will run Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box with MIUI UI on top of it.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Optical Image Stabilisation and a Philips 2-tone flash. In the front there is a 4-megapixel camera with 2-micron pixels. It is backed by 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0. It measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 6.9mm while it weighs 161 grams.
