Possible images of Sony Xperia Z4 leaked, also appears on GFXBenchmark

Possible images of Xperia Z4 with model number E6553 have surfaced online. The same handset was spotted on GFXBenchmark site revealing its specifications. In addition the a handset with code name PM-0780 claimed to be the Xperia Z4 got FCC approval.

Coming to the purported images, it reveals that the Xperia Z4 will sport a 20.7 megapixel rear camera and it appears that the back is made of glass. The handset will continue to use the OmniBalance design language, which was introduced with the first Xperia Z smartphone.

One of the photo reveals the internal model no. of the Qualcomm processor - MSM8994 which confirms that the device will pack a octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor.

In related news, Xperia Z4 with model number E6553 had its specifications detailed on GFXBench site. According to the results, the Xperia Z4 features 5.1-inch full HD display with 1080x1920 pixels full-HD resolution. The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with four ARM Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores, Adreno 430 graphics paired with 3GB RAM. It comes with internal storage of 32GB and runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

Also listed are a 20-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, auto-focus, touch-focus, face-detection and full HD video recording. On the front there is a 5-megapixel camera with full HD recording. Other features include single SIM slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and other standard sensors (accelerometer, barometer sensor, compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor).

Lastly, a Sony handset with code name PM-0780 claimed to be Xperia Z4 got approved by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission). The documents don't call the handset Xperia Z4 outright, but the dimensions listed (146x73mm) closely match the Xperia Z3' dimension. Given that Xperia Z4 is like to use the same screen size and the same design as its predecessors, gives some evidence that the device is the Xperia Z4. The FCC documents also reveals the presence of a microSD card slot, support for LTE, non-removable battery and the handset is listed as running an Android build no. 26.1.A.0.79
