Xiaomi's Mi Water Purifier can check real-time water quality using your smartphone

In addition to Mi TV 2s, Xiaomi also unveiled another home appliance called the Mi Water Purifier. It falls under Xiaomi's IoT category of products as it can be controlled by your smartphone. Xiaomi claims that it has world’s first integrated waterway that makes sure there’s no leakage.

In order to offer cleaner water, the Mi Purifier uses reverse osmosis (RO) with a TDS value under 100 to purify water.  The Mi Purifier is compact with a base area smaller than an A4-size paper can dispense 400 gallons of water in a day. It offers 1.0L/min water flow and 1:1 high water production rate.

The Mi Purifier t has four filters, PP Cotton filter, activated coconut carbon filter (2x) and a RO membrane. The PP cotton filter cleans sediments, rust and other impurities from water. The carbon reduces odor and discoloration of the water and improves taste. The RO membrane filters metals, bacteria and other organic substances.

The Mi Water Purifier has built-in Wi-Fi support and lets you check real time water quality and receive filter change reminder using Android or iOS app.

Xiaomi's Mi Water Purifier is priced at CNY 1299 (US$ 210 | Rs. 13,200) and will go on sale in China starting July 28.
