Lenovo announces new ThinkPad T and ThinkPad L series notebooks

Lenovo has introduced the new ThinkPad T and ThinkPad L series notebooks. The T-series includes T460, T460S, T460P and T560, while the L-series include L460 and L560. All the machines run Windows 10.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T460 and T560 comes in 14-inch and 15-inch display respectively. Both can be configured with up to sixth gen Intel Core i7 processor and have 2GB vRAM graphics option. The laptops have Intel integrated or NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics and supports up to 32GB RAM and with up to 1TB HDD or up to 512GB SSD.

The ThinkPad T460 comes with 3 x USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort, HDMI port, Ethernet, SD Card reader and Bluetooth 4.1. If promises up to 14 hours of battery life. The ThinkPad T560 has RJ45 port, mini DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.0 port and 4-in-1 Card reader. It offer 16 hours of battery life.

The ThinkPad 460S sports a 14-inch WQHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and can be configured with up to Intel Core i7 Skylake processor, up to 24GB RAM. It comes with 512GB SSD and discrete Nvidia GeForce 930M graphics. The laptop has 3 x USB port, full size HDMI & LAN, mini DisplayPort, while optional features include Smart Card Reader, Touch Finger Print Reader, WWAN and WiGig. It offers a battery life of up to 10.5 hours.

The ThinkPad 460P comes with a 14-inch WQHD display and can be configured with Intel Skylake processor and up to 32GB of RAM. Rest of the specs are same as ThinkPad T460S.

Coming to the ThinkPad L series notebooks, the ThinkPad L460 and L560 laptops sports 14-inch and 15.6-inch IPS display respectively with 1080p resolution. They can be configured with up to Core i7 processor. The L460 supports up to 32GB RAM, while the L560 supports 16GB RAM. Both come with up to 512GB SSD storage, 3 x USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, SD card reader, full sized RJ-45 ports and offers up to 21 hours of battery life.

Pricing and availability

ThinkPad T460 starts from $909 (Rs. 60,500) and ThinkPad T560 from $969 (Rs. 64,500), available starting February.
ThinkPad T460s starts $1,059 (Rs. 70,000) and ThinkPad T460P from $1,249 (Rs. 83,000) available starting February.
ThinkPad L460 starts at $749 (Rs.50,000) and ThinkPad L560 starts at $779 (Rs. 52,000), available starting February.
