Alcatel launches GPS-enabled kids smartwatch in India for Rs 4,799


Alcatel has launched Move Time Track & Talk smartwatch in India, aimed at kids from age five to nine. The wearable comes with GPS tracking, call and message functionality, allowing parents to stay in to with their kids.

The Move Time Track & Talk weighs less than 40g and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. It features 0.95-inch OLED display (shows time, cartoon animations and battery life), IP65 rating for protection against water and dust, SOS button, and is fueled by 380mAh battery promising four days of run time.

The smartwatch supports 2G networks. Kids can reply to calls for 10 pre-set contacts and make calls to five registered numbers. The watch uses GPS, GSM, and WiFi to monitor the kid's movement, and is capable of notifying parents and other registered numbers with 60 seconds, if kids moves out of the marked safe area.

Parents can pair the MoveTime smartwatch to their smartphone via a dedicated app, using IMEI number of the watch. The app allows parents to set safe zone, add more family member and can send emergency call number. They can also send a 5-second long voice messages to their kids as well.

The Alcatel MoveTime Track and Talk smartwatch is available exclusively from Flipkart in Orange or Blue strap options for Rs. 4,799.
