Xiaomi Meri spotted, to reportedly come with in-house processor

Back in October a new mysterious mid-range Xioami smartphone codenamed Meri was spotted in leaked images and benchmarks tests. Now additional information of the device has surfaced along with live images.

If the leak is true, Meri will be powered by a new in-house processor called Pincone, which is said to have been developed by Xiaomi. Multiple reports in the past had indicated that Xiaomi is developing its own processor. As per Geekbench 4.0, Meri scored 758 on a single-core test and 3105 points on the multi-core test, indicating it will be a mid-ranger.

The Xiaomi Meri will reportedly feature 5.5-inch Full HD display, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage, 12MP camera, NFC, fingerprint scanner and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

If reports are to be believed, Xiaomi Meri will launch as Mi 5c. It is rumored to be priced CNY 1499 (Rs. 14,800) and is expected to launch on December 12 in Rose Gold, Gold and Black colors.
