Android Nougat roll out begins for Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge

After Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, Samsung has now started the process or rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for the 2015 flagship Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.

The Nougat update with firmware version G925FXXU5EQBG weighs 1.35GB and is rolling out across several European countries including Italy, U.K, Germany, Netherlands, Ireland, Romania and Switzerland. Unfortunately, India and U.S Galaxy S6/S6 edge units will have to wait a little while for the update.

Like the Galaxy S7 update, Nougat for Galaxy S6/S6 edge brings goodies like tweaks to TouchWiz interface, Quick panel and notifications improvement, multi-window support, performance mode and Samsung Pass. It also adds Samsung Cloud, which allows users to sync their data from native apps to cloud storage, along with performance and stability enhancements, optimizations and latest Android security patch the comments.
