Meizu A5 with 3060mAh battery launched in China


Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has introduced new 'A' line of smartphone, with the A5 being the first member of the series. It's an entry-level and the company's most affordable smartphone till date.

The phone sports a polycarbonate body and its fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button. It weighs just 140g and boots Android Marshmallow based Flyme OS.

In terms of specifications, the Meizu A5 features 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6737 processor aided by 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, expandable via microSD card. For photography it gets 8MP f/2.0 rear facing camera with dual-LED flash, and 5MP selfies shooter on the front.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. A 3060mAh battery runs the show.

The Meizu A5 has been priced at CNY 699 ($103 | Rs. 6,600) and is now available in China in Matte Black, Silver and Champagne Gold colors.
