HTC rolls out Android 8.0 Oreo for HTC U11 (Taiwan)


HTC promised to release Android Oreo for HTC U11 before end of this year. Now keeping its promise, the Taiwanese device maker has rolled out Android 8.0 to U11. However, the update is now rolling out in Taiwan, and will like reach other countries over the coming weeks.

The Android Oreo update for HTC U11 is rolling out over-the-air carrying build number 2.31.709.1, and weighs in at 1.3GB. You'll be notified if the update is available, or else, you can manually check for it by going to Settings > About > Software updates.

Along with native Oreo treat, the update brings the latest iteration of HTC's Sense UI as well as November 1, 2017 security patch. 

As a reminder, Android Oreo includes new features like Picture-in-Picture (PiP), notification channels,adaptive icons, circular dot, along with bug fixes, security improvement and enhancements to improve the device's performance.
