NVIDIA Shield TV receiving new Experience Upgrade 6.2 update


NVIDIA is rolling out a new update to its Android powered SHIELD TV in the form of Experience 6.2.

According to the changelog, the update brings latest Android security patch, HDR support for VUDU and Cast support for Amazon. The update also brings Google Assistant voice support for Plex and VUDU streaming apps, and Ecobee thermostats and LG SmartThinQ smart home devices.

It also adds popular Indian streaming service Hotstar app, and Gamestream support for Metal Gear Solid 3 HD, FIFA 18 and Destiny 2.

In Addition, NVIDIA also announced $30 price cut for the SHIELD TV (Remote only) as part of Black Friday deal. It will be up for grabs for just $149.
