HMD Starts Oreo Testing Program For Nokia 6

Just a few days back HMD added the Nokia 5 to the Nokia Phones Beta Lab which was originally conceived for testing Oreo for the Nokia 8. HMD's Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas today announced the commencement of testing of Oreo for the Nokia 6.

If you are looking to sign up for the Nokia Phones Beta Lab, you can do so by clicking here. After filling the registration form, you will be asked to enter the IMEI number of your device so that HMD can validate that you own a Nokia 6. Once that has been verified, you will get a OTA notification of the Oreo beta build within twelve hours. The update you will get will also include the latest December security patch.

In the case of the Nokia 8, the first Oreo based beta build was released on October 25 and the last test build was released on November 10. Nokia 8 started getting the stable Oreo update on November 24. So the Nokia 6 should get Oreo by the end of next month.

The Nokia 6 will not only be updated to Oreo, but will also be getting Android P.
