UPDATE #1 March 21, 2018 08:09PM IST (Please refer to the end of the article for the update)

The unlocked models of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ started receiving the Oreo update last month, and now it's turn of the carrier locked models. Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Galaxy S8 and S8+ are now being updated to Oreo.

The update size is 1.5GB, and it's identical for both the Galaxy S8 siblings across the three carriers. If you had enrolled in the beta program, you will be getting an update around 350MB. Just like the update size, the build numbers are identical alike across the carriers. The build number for the update of Galaxy S8 is G950USQU2CRB9 and that of Galaxy S8+ is G955USQU2CRB9. Aside from all the Oreo goodies, the update also brings the February security patch in tow.

OTA updates are rolled out in phases, and therefore the update notification might take some time to show up on your device. If you were one of the beta testers, you won't be getting the update automatically, since the automatic update checking functionality is turned off for betas. Beta testers need to pull the update manually by heading over to Settings > About phone > Check for updates.
