OnePlus 6 Gets OxygenOS Open Beta 2 With Front Camera & Performance Optimizations

OnePlus 6 received a couple of Android P beta builds alongside the Pixel smartphones. Now that the stable Android 9 update has been rolled out by Google, OnePlus is continuing to test the latest Android version under its Open Beta program. The first OxygenOS Open Beta for the OP6 was released last week, and now OnePlus has posted a new beta.

Here's the changelog:

Changelog

System
• Improved stability for Wi-Fi connection
• Optimized background power consumption control
• Optimization for the pocket mode to reduce accidental touches

Launcher
• Optimized multi-tasking UI

Camera
• Optimized image quality for the front camera

OnePlus has noted that Google Pay doesn't work on the beta build. Also, you might face problems while running third-party applications.

The latest OxygenOS Open Beta is currently rolling out as an OTA to existing beta users. If you are coming from another ROM, you can follow the installation instructions from here. The OxygenOS Open Beta 2 can be directly downloaded by clicking here (file size is 1.5GB).
