dotOS Release Final Oreo Build With New Features, Start Working On Pie


With Android 9 Pie out, custom ROM developers are wrapping up their Oreo-based releases and are starting to work on Pie. Earlier today, the dotOS team posted their final Oreo update with v2.5. This release of dotOS brings a bunch of new features along with official support for more devices.

The update changelog is as follows:

• Allow using 4G icon instead LTE in Statusbar.(switch)

• Added Phone Number Lookup feature.

• Added Auto record feature in dialer.

• Added Call statistics.

• Some dialer app Improvements.

• Added Alarm Blocker.

• Improvements in LTE signal Reception

• Added Smart Pixels feature.

• Added Pocket Mode.

• UI/UX improvements.

• New icon for Recorder.

• Added Vibrate on Plug

• Updated few Apns.

• New default wallpaper

• Added some new Wallpapers in dotpapers

• Added support for Snapdragon 845 devices.

• Misc fixes and Under the hood improvements


As mentioned before, some new devices have been accorded official status. These include the Moto G, the Moto G2, the Moto G5 Plus, the Galaxy A5 2016 (Exynos), the Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy S5 Neo, and the Vega Iron 2. Meanwhile, the Moto G5, the ZTE Z9 Max, and the Mi Max 2 have been dropped from the official roster. The builds of dotOS v2.5 can be downloaded from here.
